Skill

Hi how are you, I will give you a 3 for your production skills. This to me is pretty descent as is, but it could be taken further. The end is cool. Keep up the good work.

Neurotangent responds:

Hey, feel free to send me a PM with any ideas on how it could be taken further. I'm open to constructive criticism. Thank you for the review!

I like variety

I like all that you have done here producing wise. Like an Orgy track, then 2:00 comes in and that is just heaven. No really it is, the beat is amazing. I can hear the time invested and also the sexual frustration, I got the grrl that is also a friend...unfortunately. You know I say, please make more! 1O's for being original and your excellent producing. Vocals towards the second half are really emotion-scaping.

pookicker responds:

That was some good reading, friend! I definitely tried to keep my focus inside of this one. I think it's funny that you say sexual frustration because when I wrote those lyrics, I thought I was just being humorous but, you're right! I gotta get into better shape so I can tackle some ham sandwiches.

Lovely perceptions, thank you.

I like the chippy sounds/leads. This would be great as more than an intro track. You are good at what you do. Again, thanks for making it.

dynamism responds:

thank YOU for listening, compadre

Dub

This would be more like Dubstep, plz check out DubStep.FM on shoutcast.com, this is better than some of the stuff on there.

A little heavy compressed, but overall I like it, it really hits my random side. Good job on it, thanks for making it.

dynamism responds:

I'm pretty into dub now, thinking about making some tracks but i don't know how i'd go about making the warbles.

thanks for the listen mate!

cover letter

best song i have heard today, cept Pleasant Valley Sunday. I wish i could make this stuff. It all make a lot of sense and I wish there was more like it.

pookicker responds:

This must have been the second song you heard then, Loliver! Pleasant Valley Sunday sounds too good for me to go back and listen to my own muzak, ya know. I used to catch the Monkees TV Show on Nickelodeon when I skippe-- when I was sick and missed school.
Anyhow, I'm pleased you liked it and I will be venturing into your corner...

Best advice, goto BassDrive.com and listen to them

i had a longer critique but i hit some combo of keys and it sent me back a webpage

Step responds:

Alright, will do ^^. Lol, that happens to me a lot as well, which is why I press Ctrl+A and Ctrl+C every few seconds ;). Thanks for the review, anyway!

DJ lessons, maybe you know

A stock sounding dance/trance mix. I didnt care for trance that much, but liked it with a heavier beat and more action, dance it is called. Thank you for opening my ears up to the sound i used to like long ago. Doing wonders for me tonight.

Crits - Well I like, abrupt or not. May not mix well at a club or rave, and this is my biggest thought, to fix most dance/techno songs, think about the club/rave... i.e. a slow build-up to mix into currently playing record, breaks at the right times if you want them, and a slow releasing ending... i.e. meaning you take out certain elements but no to many, this is so because at this point the DJ would be mixing in a new record to fill in the voids. That is what I would buy on vinyl

I like it

SFaPiL2 responds:

Excellent tips. Never thought of it from a DJ's perspective. It's always good to learn something new.

It's pretty flattering to know that my "song" is appreciated.

Cheers!

Think of soups

no it is good, all parts are nice, watch out on the pan pipes, they are slightly, very slightly to loud/punchy/whatever u call. I would maybe experiment with them a little, melodies/introduction of them.

Other than the pan flutes, man i really like it. I wish i could slow down a little and put sumthin like this out. '-1' point '9/1'0 cuz of flutes, i am being very very picky though, cuz this is pro

SFaPiL2 responds:

"this is pro"? Damn man, thanks (I'd better not get too cocky ^__^).

What pisses me off though is that I have no clue on expanding this! I tried some things but, imo, they suck the big one.

Thanks a bunch for passing by NKAT.

P.S. Being "very very picky" is a good thing for me ^__^

Will

as for title it doesn't capture 'Game Over', 'You are dead', but more of a song over the credits....ninja-sad plot-sneak/action game lol.

I would maybe tone down your back synthy element on reverb or w/e, add another background noise to fill that full and keep the rest the same.

This is very emotion-generating, loops well, has some soul.

Add some super crazy breakbeats lol, no dont do that, but it would make my personal day haha.

8/10, u can see that

SFaPiL2 responds:

Yeah, I was actually thinking of the credits when making this loop. The "synthy element" has too much punch, you're right.

Crazy breakbeats? Your wish is my command ^__^... Nah, I'd suck at it. I'd end up making the usual repetitive drum loop...

...Say, if you're interested, I could pass the samples straight to you. Just for fun.

Cheers.

I never played the game, just like the music

awesome, ya man i have this original soundtrack on CD, made one for all my friends too, fav is Guardia Millenial Fair. Great work

Kloudtana responds:

Haha, the sound track is indeed great, but i think you should play the game as well. If you don't have a SNES, the game was recently re-released on the DS.

And thanks for the review.
