Haha yeah!

hihats are loud. Drum placement is good. Background noises are sweet. Groove is good. You are like me, maybe a melody is missing....and maybe the groove isn't very clean....the groove's intention is there but it is not 100% clear. I like this a lot man. Ima check out your stuff some more, see mine, u might like =D

buyj3llo responds:

wow, thanks. That means a lot coming from you. I love your stuff.

Techno is [ ]

It is techno. I think all the parts are fitting, but the song doesn't stand out, i wish it did. Maybe come up with some way to make this song own. And when your drums cut out and the rest of the songs goes in the break, the bass and sounds get louder, this is fixed with compression or turning down the volume at those times i.e. the drums take over a lot of the speaker and don't allow the other instruments room to breathe ja know?!? bass rythm at 1:13 is great, should keep building off that. Listen to me too, all of it!

Dry Well

I don't like it. There are some good applications of cool sounds that could be used more for the greater good of man. If this is a up-and-coming genre, well help us all because it sounds like a producer can't put out anything descent so this is what he does. If this is the case, well then all you really have to do with this is spend some extra time THINKING and putting out something that will blow anyone's mind musically. This is not that hard if one thinks this song is anything memorable. Please GoldBlood, apply your skills to something bomb!

GoldbloodedDragon responds:

Well, it's spittercore.

I kinda don't like it either, but it was a bitch to make.

Workite

This needs more work. Putting in the drums at the right times is good. You should spend a little bit of time messing with the sounds & EQ of the drums = make it sound unreal and eye-popping! Go Go Gadget DnB

GoldbloodedDragon responds:

Ok, I'll try.

But how do I EQ? (I'm a nub.)

Semi-Sunny

Yes, what ever you did here, do it again, this is mighty delightful. I bet it took awhile to polish this. It sucks that you have to put so much work into a piece to get it to sound this great. Awesome work, tons better than your earlier stuff!

Whirlguy responds:

Haha, thank you!

Its all right

Better than some of your stuff. Here's the deal man, the composition at times owns man, it is very beautiful. I think your execution of these comps i.e. the way they are introduced into the song need work. Maybe faster, less subtle breaks and changes for upbeat songs and the opposite for downbeat ones (liquid). Watch your bass tones, they get loud at times. Keep going, i think you can make a kick ass epic piece man!

Whirlguy responds:

What I personally find very hard when I'm working on a new song is that when I listen to it for too long, I can't really tell wether something sounds powerful or dull anymore. I pretend to listen to the song as if I were hearing it for the first time, but that doesn't really help most of the time. I suppose you are right about the drums, I never really thought of changing them throughout the song but I think you're right. I should have. I am not sure what you mean with liquid. Liquid beats I suppose? To be honest I haven't heard of that before.

Also the basstones sound fine to me. But then again, I probably should get new speakers.. I didn't expect anyone to rate it a 4, oh well. Thanks for the review, it was helpfull (:

No way

Everything needs work, especially the unharnessed bass hurting my speakers, and yes this contains both drums and bass, but is not to be confused with the style of dance called drum n bass, i got some if you have never heard any, but for the love of you God I hope you have heard some drum n bass.

Needs EQ work, but go job on make a semi-interesting song with just two instruments

Whirlguy responds:

Haha, my old songs are horrible, I still love em though <3

Anyway yeah, I was inspired by paragonx9 back in the early days. My creations were nothing like his but I think it was worth atleast giving it a try. Oh and don't even think I knew what equalizing was about back then ;)

Thanks for reviewing (:

It's okay

Not to much but the composition later in the song is awesome. I would guess you will get better, did you take piano lessons? What is the name of that synth @ 0:15, i have been looking for a sound that has some elements of it??

Whirlguy responds:

0:15 is a synth made with Simsynth from Fruityloops Studio 4. While I do not have the .flp anymore, I think it was the default synth with maybe a few modifications.
Yeah I consider this one of my best composed pieces, though I'm not all that fond of the drums in this song. I had keyboard lessons for about 5 years, I stopped when I was 13 and started experimenting with Fruityloops 3, also teaching myself a few new tricks on the keys. This was one of my first songs with Fruityloops Studio 4, which I still use.

DudeBro

Yes indeed mighty good, you are on top.

This is like liquid DnB, please check out BassDrive.com if you dig this style, 24/7 DnB live.

I L=o=v=e it. Thanks

Marks-a-lot responds:

oh well that is great to hear! I am glad that you like The Almond Roca. It is mighty delicious! it's pretty minimal for a DnB track but I guess you could call it some sort of drum and bass.

Chance

I gather you are new to producing? I think you did a good job on not using presets. My advice would be to keep going further into them on this song.

Drums need more presence, not the EQ term, like they are nice filler drums, but could be more driving, what you have sounds good though.

Some melodies and rythems need to be EQ'ed volume wise.

Delay / Reverb does a body good, always in moderation eh?!?!?!111

Keep it up, i hope to hear a killer chune from you s-o-o-n!

GoldbloodedDragon responds:

Thanks for reviewing so many of my songs!

I'm such a nub; what is EQing?
I would be very thankful if you told me.
